A little more about me

I am the owner and director of Rovarch Marine Archaeology & Exploration, based in St Andrews, and have over 50 years’ experience in the marine and offshore industries. My work as a pioneering deep-water marine archaeologist and salvor has taken me around the world, planning and leading high-profile shipwreck projects that have featured in reports, publications, and TV documentaries. Married with children,

I have always remained rooted in St Andrews, serving for 23 years with the local Coastguard Rescue Team—receiving a Queen’s Commendation for Bravery—and contributing locally as Chair of the Cosmos Community Centre, Trustee of the Harbour Trust, and leader of a sport diving club.

I joined the Community Council to give back to my hometown and ensure it continues to thrive. In my spare time, I enjoy photography, gardening, walking, DIY, and a fine malt whisky.
